Locally owned Mr. Dim Sum, which opened in 2024 in Westfield Southcenter Mall’s Northside Restaurant Row, is quickly becoming a go-to spot for lovers of Chinese cuisine. Known for its delicious, handcrafted dumplings, this restaurant offers both authentic and modern takes on classic dim sum favorites, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal.

“Mr. Dim Sum is more than just a restaurant—it is a reimagining of a centuries-old Cantonese tradition,” said Sarah Wang, Operations Director of Mr. Dim Sum.

Handcrafted Dumplings: Enjoy meticulously made dumplings like Shrimp and Pork Shui Mai and Shrimp Dumplings, giving you a true taste of Cantonese dim sum.

Signature Dishes: In addition to dumplings, customers love the BBQ pork buns, which are light and airy, and with a touch of sweetness. Mr. Dim Sum also has a unique take on purple custard buns that have inspired a cult following all on their own. As Seattle Met wrote in an entire story devoted to the dish: "The delicate outer crust has the gentle crispness and light chew of other dim sum made with glutinous rice flour—pork-filled “footballs” and sesame balls—with an added crunch from pankolike crumbs all around the outside. Inside, the brilliant purple of the dough opens to reveal a silky smooth, sunshine-yellow custard."
