Join the Port of Seattle, its partners, and community members as we plant native trees to restore our urban forests
Participants will plant 250 trees and shrubs at a Port site previously overtaken by invasive blackberry and ivy. The trees planted will increase native forest cover with a native shrub understory.
The Port of Seattle will provide snacks, hot drinks, gloves, and tools. Clothes and shoes appropriate for working outdoors are recommended.
This event is FREE, family-friendly, and no experience is necessary.

Parking is at the SCORE facility parking lot (20817 17th Ave S, Des Moines, WA 98198) at the end of 18th Avenue S. From there, participants can walk back along the sidewalk or be dropped at the planting site, located north of the parking lot along 18th Avenue S.
