Family with Young Kids
Traveling with young children can be tricky unless you plan ahead and stay the night before your flight.
Dine: Keep the kids entertained with dinner at Bahama Breeze. This family-friendly restaurant offers a solid kids' menu and super fun drinks (hello, a virgin pina colada in a real pineapple!). It also often hosts live island music. Browse more family restaurants in Seattle Southside.
Sip: Got some boba fans in your fam? Read our guide to the best bubble tea in town, and sign up for the Bubble Tea Trail to win prizes for checking into locations!
Play: The Family Fun Center has areas for all ages. Tiny tots can hang out in Kidopolis, a four-level soft play structure, while older kids can enjoy arcade games, bumper cars, small indoor rides, and bowling. Other places where kids can burn off extra energy include Sky Zone Trampoline Park, a huge indoor attraction, and Safari, an indoor play space designed for toddlers that's located inside Westfield Southcenter.
Explore: If you're here on a Saturday, check out the MasT Center Aquarium's free Discovery Days, where you can see (and touch!) native marine life up close. Or, sign up for the UFO Mysteries Trail and check out the locations to learn all about Seattle Southside's famous brush with alien visitors.
Shop: You don't need to pay admission to pop into The Museum of Flight gift shop, where you'll find unique games, toys, and books galore. There are also tons of toy stores at Westfield Southcenter (see more ideas on our blog).
Stay: For littles that enjoy plane and train spotting, reserve a room at Coast Gateway Hotel. Situated next to the airport and Link Light Rail, with soundproof windows, this is the perfect viewing spot to get them excited for upcoming travel.
