A solo performance by Seattle-based actor Minki Bai, The Ballad of Freddie Ohr tells the story of Fred Ohr, the first and only Korean American flying ace. Inspired by interviews with Ohr, American folk songs, and tall-tale traditions, the performance explores Ohr’s immigrant experience, childhood in Idaho, racial discrimination, and his determination to fly during World War II.
